G FLOW-D is a dual-action medication that combines Tamsulosin Hydrochloride and Dutasteride to provide effective relief from the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition that causes the prostate gland to enlarge, leading to urinary problems such as difficulty urinating, frequent urination, and a weak urine stream.
Tamsulosin Hydrochloride (0.4mg): Tamsulosin is an alpha-blocker that works by relaxing the smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow and alleviating symptoms like frequent urination, urgency, and difficulty in starting urination.
Dutasteride (0.5mg): Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor that works by blocking the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that causes prostate growth. By inhibiting DHT production, Dutasteride helps reduce prostate size over time, providing long-term relief from BPH symptoms.
